Important Notes
Editor vs. Frontend Appearance
You may notice slight differences between how your site looks in the editor (backend) and on the actual site (frontend). This is completely normal and happens for a few reasons:
The editor uses a simplified view to make editing easier.
Some dynamic elements (like hover effects or animations) only trigger on the frontend.
Browser caching may occasionally show older versions in the editor.
Interactive features (dropdowns, search) function differently in editing mode.
This is common WordPress behavior, not a theme issue. Always preview your changes on the actual frontend (click the "View Site" button) to see the true appearance.
Quick tip: Use Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to hard refresh and see the latest changes on the frontend.
Disabling Theme CSS/JS in the Block Editor
Listimia gives you the flexibility to disable theme-specific CSS and scripts within the block editor. This is particularly useful if the editor feels sluggish, if theme styles are interfering with block selection, or if you simply prefer a "vanilla" WordPress editing experience for a cleaner workspace.
How to disable theme assets in the editor:
Go to Appearance → Customize.
Navigate to Theme Options.
Find the setting: "Disable Theme CSS/JS in Block Editor".
Check the box to disable it.
Click Publish.
WordPress Default Patterns
Listimia disables WordPress's default patterns by default. This is intentional to avoid cluttering your pattern library with generic patterns that may not match Listimia's design system.
Why we disable them:
Keeps your pattern browser clean and organized.
Makes it easier to find Listimia-specific patterns.
Avoids visual confusion between theme designs and WordPress defaults.
Want to enable default WordPress patterns?
Go to Appearance → Customize.
Navigate to Theme Options.
Find "Enable WordPress Default Patterns".
Check the box to enable.
Click Publish.
WordPress's default patterns will now appear alongside Listimia patterns in the pattern inserter.
